This edition bringing you a nice summer dessert!  Inspired by today’s strawberry picking at Highland Orchards with our friends.  Great weather, great company, and little control freak had a great time sampling strawberries more than picking them!

German Pound Cake

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2.5 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  • Mix first 4 ingredients
  • Add eggs & milk
  • Beat on high-speed until WELL blended
  • Grease & flour a tube pan
  • Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes
  • 325 degrees for the last 5 minutes

To dress cut strawberries, the fresher the better, and sprinkle with sugar to naturally great some juice. Serve with strawberries and dollop of whipped cream.
