“I want to be around people that do things. I don’t want to be around people anymore that judge or talk about what people do. I want to be around people that dream and support and do things.” – Amy Poehler
Wise words Amy Poehler!
Last week I was thinking about relationships, and what I’ve learned over time, including how LUCKY I am to have such a wonderful husband and amazing friends I consider family. Many people may think all you need is love, I would argue against that. There are many things that go into a relationship, but to me the number one requirement is that those you are in relationships with are true partners, your teammate(s)!
Think about it like a soccer team. Each teammate is different, but they are all working together and supporting each other towards a common goal. As soon as one teammate decides they don’t want to focus on that same goal, they are automatically playing for the other team and aren’t supporting their teammates. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be on that team!
Keep that in mind with relationships, if you don’t have the same life goals and you don’t support each other to reach your dreams, is it worth it?
